Forums’ other side around: Lurking
Lucker is someone who reads but doesn’t post in newsgroups, conferences, or message areas.
With the dynamic increase of users in the internet, people are shifting: from prints, to media and now lifted to the web wide web.
Some people founded some interactive community where you can communicate with other people across the community and it is define as the “forum”. With different niche nowadays (like fashion, business, automobiles, sports, etc.)
Forums reacted increasingly on the hype, creating a pleasant a web based community where people can talk about. Sharing some thoughts and ideas, developing to cater the needs of every members involve to show how lively their own forum. But by this positive goal brought by the founders of the forum, they’re still some people who have goals inside the community not to communicate with the users but only to absorb the things (like knowledge and privilege, intended exclusively to members) with no interaction with their co-members they are called “Lurkers”.
Silently mimicking privileges, these force some forums to put have a limited access even if you’re a member. I’m not opening this to be bold and open in the internet community/forums because internet is somewhat has a lot of possibilities to say lies or to get scam but I opening this one just to say theirs no bad in sharing some things you own, but just keep it clean and no edges (I mean having no basis to scare you as blackmailing).
Lurkers: are you one of them?
